Chabwino SDA Church started as a Branch under Kola church in 2002 in a classroom at Chabota School with a membership of seven namely; Br. MAINZA MILANDU, Sr. MILANDU. Sr. SIMAKUNI, Sr. SIANGWENYA Sr. HAMUDUDU, Sr. MIYANDA MUNJILE HAMUSONDE and Sr. MAZUBA MBOZI (LATE). The first Branch Leader was Br. Phanwell Hamatanga followed by Elder Mukali then Elder Alfred Hamaundu. Eventually the Classroom become small due to the membership increase hence Sr. BERTHA SIMAKUNI offered a piece of land within the school premises for the church. The Branch was organised into a Company in 2005 when the church building was at window level by Pastor DAVID KAYAYA. The Company leader was Elder MILANDU. On 10th June 2007 the Company was organised into a church by Pastor DANIEL CHUNGA. The following were the leaders; Br VICTOR HATIMBULA as Admin Elder, Br MAINZA MILANDU Elder, Br TIMOTHY MULENGA Elder and Br. PATSON MONDE Elder.
In 2008 we had a privilege of opening three (03) Branches; namely SILOAM led by Elder TIMOTHY MULENGA, HOREB led by Br. MOSES CHEWE and SHECHEM led by Br. GEORGE MUSONDA (LATE). In 2009 the two (02) Branches were organised into Companies by Pastor MORGAN CHIBALA being SILOAM led by Br. VICTOR MTEMBO and HOREB led by Br. GILBERT CHIMBWALI. Shechem derailed because of losing the leader but later on revived after having a crusade and was led by Br. KENAN LILANDA. In 2011 another Branch was opened after having a crusade by the name of HARAN led by Br. RODWELL MWIINGA. In the same year 2011 November HARAN and SHECHEM were orgnaised into Companies by Pastor H P MULENDEMA. HARAN Company leader is Br. RODWELL MWIINGA and SHECHEM company leader is Br. JEREMIAH NGWELA.
